Why do old aunties tell you not to take birth control pills?

Once you get married a thought always haunts you and that is 'Am I pregnant?' There are very few women who opt for getting pregnant immediately after marriage. Mostly all women give time to themselves as well as their relationship to get that matured. So the biggest question stand in front of the couple is to deal with birth control. Therr are various ways of birth control. Taking Birth control pills is the most popular as well as convenient way of birth controlling. You will always hear from the elder lady of your house, not to opt for birth control pills. They come with few side effects which and give you major issues in life.



Here are the few reasons to avoid birth control pills.
  • Potential increased risk of breast cancer
  • Potential increased risk of blood clotting, heart attack and stroke. The risk of blood clots is highest for very overweight women taking the pill.
  • Headaches or migraines
  • Gallbladder or liver problems, including benign tumors
  • Increased blood pressure
  • Weight gain
  • Mood changes, with some women experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety
  • Nausea, cramping, irregular bleeding or spotting between periods
  • Breast tenderness
  • Deficiency of nutrients 
  • Yeast infections 
  • Infertility / sterility 
In this way there can be many known or unknown side effects of birth control pills. 


During your most fertile days, you can avoid vaginal intercourse or use a barrier method for those five days leading up to ovulation.
There is always good option of natural way of birth control rather than harming your body.To avoid pregnancy, you can determine your five fertile days before ovulation by using progressive tools.

  6. I agree! There are potential risks involved in taking those pills. Though not every body would respond negative but its better to be safe and not put your body to any risks.
