Why breast milk is important for babies?
- Water - Breast milk contains water in it. Thus breast milk itself is enough for babies till 6 months to keep them hydrated. We need to keep feeding babies often during summer days. This keep babies hydrated and don't make their throat feed dry.

- Enzymes - Enzymes which are found into breast milk are good bacteria. They keep stomach related problems at bay.
- Anti bodies - Anti bodies keeps babies away from illness and infections.
- In simple words it's everything for your baby. It keeps your baby hydrated as well as nourished. You don't need anything else till he becomes 6 months old.

Other pros of breastfeeding your baby
- Breastfeeding helps you to develop mother and baby relationship. How? When you breastfeed your baby (directly from your breast) you and baby spend most of the time together. You become everything of your baby. The baby gets calm by your touch and voice. Sucking through mother's breast soothes baby more than through a bottle. It also makes mothers feel lovely and calm.
- They say breastfeeding reduces risk of breast cancer.
- Protects baby from infection, allergies. upset stomach etc.
- Breast milk is easily digestible. It contains all the necessary ingredient for baby's overall development. All the nutrients are balanced into it so, there is no tension among parents to balance baby's food. As it can be easily digested parents need not worry about
While guidelines like the above help give a little bit of context around your feeding experience, every mom, every baby and every breastfeeding journey is unique. As long as both mom and baby are happy and healthy, you’re doing things right!
